Subject: Request for Correction/Clarification – U19 Eligibility Year of Birth (Arab Sailing Championship 2026 / ILCA) Dear Organizing Committee, I am writing regarding the U19 eligibility criteria stated in the Notice of Race for the Arab Sailing Championship 2026 (Soma Bay). The Notice of Race currently states that the Under 19 (U19) category corresponds to athletes born in 2007. However, for the year 2026, “Under 19” should correspond to athletes born in 2008 or later, since athletes born in 2007 will be 19 years old in 2026. As we already discussed, you are aware of this error in the Notice of Race. To ensure that my athlete is not affected by this administrative mistake, I kindly request that you: 1) Confirm in writing that the U19 eligibility will be applied using the correct year of birth (2008 or later), and 2) Publish an official clarification/amendment (NoR amendment / official notice / Q&A) so that the corrected criterion is clearly communicated and applies equally to all competitors.
