I wonder if anyone has a good solution I can use?
In the sailing instructions the course diagrams usually come from a standard set which in many cases come from the MNA. When running offshore the course is often set up on Navionics. I have been trying to find a simple drawing program where I can draw myself some alternative courses, as we use in some of our Regattas. I tried Boat scenario but it is not set up for that. Preferably Android/Windows operation. What do people use?
You can make any course you like. It takes a little practice, but one you understand how to create, move and group shapes it is easy. Zoom in to work details. Once you have the course you want configured, use Print Screen to make a copy. Then paste into a picture program such as Microsoft Picture Manager and save as a jpeg which can be used in any document.
Feel free to shoot me a note if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Jerry
There is a PowerPoint protest diagram file that might be of use. I’ll email it to you.

Add the marks in their actual positions.
Then set up your course as a GPS Route. Print the route to automatically list geo coordinates of each mark, bearing from mark to mark (your choice of true or magnetic) and distance of each leg.
You can see videos on youtube to understand how to draw in that web sketcker.
Thanks
