Post Race Scoring Penalty Limited to 30% ?

44.3(c) allows for a scoring penalty to be "the number of places stated in the notice of race or sailing instructions". Is this limited to a boat taking a Scoring Penalty during the race, as defined in 44.3(a). Or is it also applied to a Post Race Penalty? T1

My reading is that the the NoR and SI would normally only apply to a boat taking a penalty while racing. i.e. a Post Race Penalty is always 30%. T1(b): " A Post-Race Penalty is a 30% Scoring Penalty calculated as stated in rule 44.3(c)."

Please can somebody clarify?

To be different the NOR or SI have to specify the numbers.

normally 20% in race or 30% after race.

There is no reason why you cannot change Appendix T in the same NOR or SI if you want something different.
