A new dedicated email:
corrections@racingrulesofsailing.org has been created where anyone can report errors or needed corrections to the published sections of the site.
It will be a really big help if you take the time to report these issues as you come across them while you use the site. You will also notice that this email address has been added at the bottom of all of the published pages, so no need to remember it. Just scroll down, click and report when you see something that needs attention.
When making a report, it would also be helpful if you provided the following information as this is how the information is organized behind the scenes:
- Quad (currently either 2013-16 or 2017-20)
- Racing Type (Fleet, Match, Team, Kiteboard)
- Prescription (if applicable)
- Rule/Case/Appeal #
Following that, cut and paste a section of the item that needs fixing along with a description or demonstration of what needs changed.
Thanks everyone!
Is this WS or US Sailing?
David
Every effort has been made to have the text on the RacingRulesOfSailing website match that of the actual published RRS, Cases, and Appeals (WS and Prescriptions) ... but humans entered the info and humans make mistakes. Also, Paul has been deploying periodic updates to the system, and sometimes those updates have unintended consequences in the published sections.
This new email-address is simply a way for everyone to lend a hand by reporting website-text-corrections in the published reference sections when they come upon them.
