Scoring Inquiries

What Scoring Inquiries Does

Scoring Inquiries lets competitors submit a formal query about their score — typically to ask the race committee to review a finish position, a points calculation, or the application of a penalty. Officials respond through the same system, and if the response results in a scoring change, the scorer is automatically notified. All inquiries and responses are numbered, logged, and available on a public display page.

Enabling and Submitting

Enable Scoring Inquiries by editing your event and selecting Scoring Inquiries in Event Settings. Once enabled, competitors can submit an inquiry from the Actions menu on the public event pages without needing to sign in. They identify their boat, the race number, and the nature of the inquiry. The PRO, CRO, and protest committee are notified by email when a new inquiry is received.

Reviewing and Responding

Officials review scoring inquiries from the Scoring Inquiries page in the Event Panel. You can filter inquiries by course, class, division, or competitor name. Open any inquiry to see the details and enter a response. If the response results in a scoring change, set the Scoring Change field accordingly — this notifies the scorer and places the inquiry on the Scoring Panel for follow-up. The competitor is notified by email and SMS when a response is posted.
